I am so glad that someone from the 90210 cast finally spoke out and told the truth about the rumors surrounding the female actresses. Lori Loughlin spoke out to The Daily Dish about the girls eating habits and about Shenae’s frame.

“90210″ star Lori Laughlin has spoken out to defend her young castmates on the new show from reports they’re starving themselves to appear superslim onscreen.

The actress, who plays mom to Shenae Grimes’ character Annie, insists the show’s sexy cast are all naturally thin with metabolisms that allow them to eat whatever they want and not gain weight.

Loughlin tells In Touch magazine, “They are thin, but they’ve been thin since the day I met them. It’s not like they got on the show and their weight just plummeted.

“Shenae is very petite; her frame doesn’t even look like it could carry a lot of weight. … I see them eating lunch and candy. … These girls are young and their metabolisms are moving at light speed — they can eat whatever they want.”

Beverly Hills, 90210 stars Jessica Stroup and Shenae Grimes are so thin that show producers and costars are poised to take action, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

“They want the girls to gain weight,” a show source tells Us. “They are trying too hard to be skinny, and it’s started to wear on them. It’s just not healthy.”

Stroup, 21, is 5-foot-8 but weighs 100 to 105 pounds while Grimes, 18, is 5-foot-3 and stands at a mere 90 pounds, Beverly Hills-based weight-management expert Dr. Joyce Peters estimates to Us.

“I’ve never seen Jessica or Shenae eat,” another show source tells Us.

So shocking is the situation that their 90210 male costars are contemplating an intervention.

“I heard some of the boys on the show are going to sit down with the girls and talk to them,” an additional show source tells Us.

“The girls were all skinny when they started, but they’re definitely thinner now,” the source adds.

Shenae was photographed leaving The Chatau Mermot hotel in Beverly Hills back on September 8th and here is a short article about the photographers asking Shenae to “tone down her smiling a bit”. I’ve added the photos that go along with this article as well.

After exiting Hollywood’s most notorious celebrity motel, the Chateau Marmont, the rising star of 90210 2.0 Shenae Grimes was asked by a group of photographers if she could tone down her smiling just a bit. Grimes felt perplexed by the request and asked why wouldn’t they want a photo of her smiling. One photographer said, “We do, but we just want a wide variety of facial reactions. Mad, gassy, sad and so on and so on.” Grimes tried her best to look slightly indifferent, but could only achieve a look of mild exasperation.
